This movie takes us on a heartwarming adventure with young Mariah Carey. All Mariah wants is a puppy. Not just any puppy. An adorable poodle that she believes is the perfect dog. Her parents don't think she is ready for a dog, and get her a stray as practice because they knew that she would see that taking care of a dog was too much trouble, and she wouldn't want a dog after all. The dog's name is Jack, and he is a bit of trouble. But over time, Mariah and Jack grow closer, and when Jack runs away, Mariah recruits a search party to find him. In the end, she chooses her new pal over the dog of her dreams. Or at least that was what she thought.
