Matilda (1996)
Matilda Wormwood is an exquisite and intelligent little girl. Unfortunately, her parents, Harry and Zinnia misunderstand her because they think she is so different. As time passes, she finally starts school and has a kind teacher, loyal friends, and a sadistic headmistress. As she gets fed up with the constant cruelty, she begins to realize that she has a gift of telekinetic powers. After some days of practice, she suddenly turns the tables to stand up to Harry and Zinnia and outwit the headmistress.

Matilda is a great movie (really really good!) based off of the book by Roald Dahl. Matilda is a small girl with an ingenious mind! She is super smart but she can't go to school, and she hates watching TV. Her family members are cheater, rude, and don't appreciate Matilda for who she is. When Matilda insists on going to school, her horrible father sends her to a school with the worst principle EVER - the Trunchbull. The Trunchbull is super strong, super mean, and super powerful. But when Matilda decides theTrunchbull has gone far enough, can she get her revenge without suffering the costs and free the students out of the prison-like school? Well, you'll just have to watch it to find out! I love this movie because it is simple, has amazing kid actors, and leaves me laughing! Matilda may be smart, but she's also good at making trouble to those who have done her wrong! :) All you have to do is watch it and your day will become better! --BKS- Anonymousover 6 yearsI've seen the play and it was Epic. This book is awesome!!!!!!!!! I mean it. I decided to watch it because I loved the book. When I watched I wanted to watch it forever. Ronald Dahl Rules!!!!!!- I like this movie a LOT! Another one of the magical movies based off of Roald Dahl's books, Matidla is easy to connect to. She has an annoying sibling (same), loves school (same), and wants to help people in trouble (same). Matilda is a very spirited young girl who is super smart but lives in a trashy, cheating, lazy family. She figures out on accident one day that she has the ability to levitate and even move objects with her mind. The plot involves an evil principal, sweet classmates, an amazing teacher, and so many more well-developed characters. This movie is pretty cool, and I highly recommend watching it!

this movie is so good it's about this girl how are dance magic powers and she gets her parents don't like her and sell and she loves to read and she's really good at math and reading and she gets a really nice teacher and she's supposed to be in school and her teacher's name is Miss honey and she gets adopted by her and the principal of that school is so mean and the teacher went to the principal and and he and she said that Matilda's needed to go to a higher grade because you were so smart and I seen you said are you going to whine about the about the kids because there's it's her she's going to be so she's so bad and she said no not at all on then and then she goes and and then she goes and she goes and puts her in the choki-choki or like the whole day and every week the the principal goes into the classrooms for a whole day and and they said what the principal said that was a learning and they and they got they got all the and she's about to walk in and they all got the pretty stuff put away so so they won't get in trouble and that their teacher won't get in trouble too and then she in Matilda's dad is a Salesman and he and he went and the what town is brother got to go to his work and watch what they do and they do stuff like that I like build the cars and fix the cars and that was illegal to put the new parts on like like get the new part stuff to steal the cars in the steel and so they his dad send it the principle of car and she got in Matilda got to go to the chokey again and 4 and then the teacher got her out and yeah it's really good movie and she's a really good he has magical powers
Matilda is a very sweet and smart girl. I enjoyed watching her morning routine at age four and surprising her teacher with her skills when she was six. Matilda is a great character and would make an excellent fictional role model. This was one of my favorite Christmas gifts.
