I loved this! It is a great movie and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Clara's always been a little odd, and on Christmas Eve she gets a gift from her mother (Who had died), a little egg, without a key. But when they go to a party, she finds the key, but a MOUSE takes it. Clara chases the mouse until she's stopped by a Nutcracker solider. The solider lets her in, but they run into Mother Ginger, a dangerous one. They head back to the castle, meeting Sugar Plum, and others. Clara haves fun with sugar plum, until she goes back to the 4th realm to get the key back. She gets it, until Sugar Plum reveals she's bad, framed Mother Ginger, and makes toy nutcrackers into real soliders, creating a bad army. Clara's locked up, but escapes and stops Sugar Plum. She goes back and lives happily ever after. Good movie, but a little creepy at times.
I loved this movie! It doesn't start off very interesting but give it some time and it will be one of the best movies you've ever seen. If you are looking for a fun family film to watch around the holidays, this is for you.
When on Christmas Eve a girl, Clara, opens a gift from her deceased mom, Clara is magically transported to a whole new world. In this world, it is a land of sweets and delights. Clara soon comes to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy who rules the glorious Land of Sweets. She also meets the rulers of several other lands and is fascinated by them. But one ruler strikes her curiosity a bit more than the rest- and her name is Mother Ginger. Some portray her as the villain in this story. So when a little mouse takes away the key from Clara's present, she chases after him. But Mother Ginger might be connected to this whole thing...
This little girl called Clara got her gift from her Mom ( which is dead) on Chirstmas eve. It soons lead her to a magical world where the time goes slower than in the real world. There she meets Sugar Plum, the Ruler of The Land of Sweets, Shiver, the Ruler of The Land of Snowflakes, and ( i forgot the name) , Ruler of The Land of Flowers. In the scene, a little smart mouse stole away the key to Clara's gift, which led her into the Forth Realm, The Amusment land. There she knew the Ruler, Mother Ginger. They said Mother Ginger was the one who started the fight and Sugar Plum lied about it. I am not going to spoil it anymore so sorry to the people that wanted me to spoil it bc people are too afraid to watch and they just want a whole batch of spoilers
The movie has a mix of mystery with surprise every character is unique in their on way.This was the best nutcracker I have seen yet! It shows everything is not what it seems.I don't want to spill the movie,but that bad guy played it off really good.
This movie was AMAZING! A perfect movie to get you in the Christmas spirit. Centered around, family, this movie takes you on a remastered and modern version of the classic Nutcracker. Much like Belle in Beauty in the Beast, Clara is different from the other girls, including her, sister. She would rather make new inventions in her attic then go to a ball. Since her mother died, Clara's father, sister, brother, and herself were filled with a sense of emptiness. But Clara's father believes it necessary to get his family back to society. On Christmas Eve, just before the family is to go to a Christmas Eve party, Clara's father presents gifts that their mom left for them. Fritz, Clara's brother, gets toy soldiers, Clara's sister (her name escapes me at the moment, sorry!) gets a dress, and Clara gets an oval shape lock but there is no key. Bewildered, Clara decides, when her family gets to the party, to find her godfather, who is a mechanic, to help her find the key. But he is not able to help but he sends Clara, and all the other children at the party, on a quest to find their gifts. Just before Clara is about to go find hers, her father finds her and reminds her that he gave her explicit instructions not to go wander off. They both get in a fight, leaving her father sad and Clara enraged. Clara follows her string where her gift is, but it leads her to a magical kingdom. There she finds the key. Just before she is about to get it, a mouse comes and snatches it. She tries to run after the mouse, but it outruns her. Outraged, she comes to a bridge, and finds a nutcracker. When she introduces herself to the nutcracker, whose name is Captain Philip, he says that she is a princess. Bewildered once again, Clara brushes that off. The nutcracker says that is too dangerous to cross the bridge, saying the fourth realm is evil and no one ever returns. Feeling let down, Clara returns with the nutcracker to a palace, where she meets the rulers of the other realms, the land of sweets, the land of snow and ice, and the land of flowers. They explain to her that the fourth realm was once beautiful the "evil" ruler Mother Ginger, made is terrible and ugly. They also explain that Clara's mother once was the ruler of all the realms before she died. When Clara explains that she needs a key, the rulers tell her that it is just too dangerous, but the key is necessary. With troops, Clara goes to the Fourth realm and is kidnapped by Mother Ginger. Mother Ginger tries to explain that if she gives back the key, bad things will happen. Disregarding this advice, Clara gives the key to Sugar Plum, the ruler of the land of sweets. Just as Mother Ginger said, bad things do indeed happen. Overcome with grief and greed, Sugar Plum tries to take control of all the realms. In the end, Clara and the nutcracker stop Sugar Plum and Mother Ginger once again is thought of as an honorable member of the Fourth Realm. Clara reunites with her family and make amends with her father. But what is in her oval shape lock when she unlocks it? You'll have to watch the movie! I liked this movie because it was colorful and creative. It was just beautiful. It teaches that things are never what they seem and that always believe the best in people. I highly suggest it!- They say that the evil-but-not-evil one is the forth one and she is called mother ginger
This is a good movie for people that like some fantasy, however it is a mix between fantasy and real life because the people that are in this movie are real people but there are magical elements in this story like when Clara's string enters a whole different world. The Nutcracker movies have been made lots of times. We don't need anymore! This movie is just another one of them, so in my "humble" opinion this movie is one you should take a pass on!- This movie is the best movie ever! How could you say that? Have you even seen the whole movie?
