Looks like a good book!

In the first 5 minutes I got this book I read 8 pages

A great adventure about a girl(Clary) who meets a strange boy(Jace) just after her mom disappears. No one else can see him but her. Not even her best friend Simon. When she goes back to her house after getting a strange phone call from her mom, the house is a mess and her mom is missing. She is attacted by a dog, or so she thought. The dog starts to transform into a weird monster like thing. Clary traps it in the bathroom to get as much time possible to get away. She makes it to her moms bedroom before being attacted again. It was able to bite her arm. Jace then shows up after she blows it up with arasole cans and fire. As she is passing out, he picks her up and takes her to The Institute to be treated for her bite. As she is out, Issabelle and her brother Alec find out about Clary. Hodge, the leader of the institute, lets her stay until she fully recovers. Clary wakes up after being unconscious for three days. Jace says something very astonishing. She was a ShadowHunter. One of them. And that they were looking for the Mortal Cup, one of the Mortal Intsruments. He also said that her mom was the last person to know of its location. They want her help, but all she wants to do is find her mom. When she is taken to The Silent City to have her memories looked through, a name appears. Magnus Bane. Also known as the high warlock of Brooklyn. Issabelle is able to get an invitation for one of his parties. They head out after explaning everything to Simon at the institute. While there Clary learns that the block that Magnus put on her memories will wear off. Issabelle came running into the room saying that Simon has been taken by the vampires. What will happen next? Will they get Simon back? Will they find the Mortal Cup? And who are Luke and Valentine? And how are they related to Clary?
